Jazz diva at Milton Abbey Music Festival

I spent my bank holiday weekend in the heart of Dorset attending the Milton Abbey Music Festival. A great mix of musical events from intimate candlelit recitals in a medieval chapel to a full-on choral and orchestral concert in the dramatic Abbey Church. At the heart of the festival was a gig by Occasion Occasion jazz diva Juliet Kelly with George Moore on keys and Dave Mannington Bass. This talented trio from London performed a variety of pop and jazz classics from George Gershwin to Eurhythmics. The gig ended with a chilled out performance of the classic Tainted Love which even included audience participation. Milton Abbey Festival is a great weekend for anyone wanting to escape to the countryside for something a little bit different.
