Ruth began her professional career after graduating from the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.  Her rich vocals and sensitive piano-playing are reminiscent of great singer/pianists such as Nat ‘King’ Cole, Nina Simone and Diana Krall and have entertained audiences around the UK, providing intimate background ambience to more upbeat swing.

Ruth has a wealth of experience of performing for weddings, receptions, corporate functions and private parties and has played regularly at The Ritz Hotel, as well as at The Laneasborough and The Waldorf Meridien.  She was recently a guest performer, with her trio, on the Maiden Voyage of the Ventura, P&O’s new Superliner.

As a singer/pianist, Ruth can perform her own unique arrangements of great jazz standards from Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Billy Holiday, including Ratpack, Swing, Ballad and Bossa Nova styles.  She can also perform as part of a duo, trio, quartet or quintet and typical instrumentation could include any combination of Ruth’s piano and vocals with sax, guitar, double bass and drums.
