30th Birthday party with an 80’s theme

Service:  Occasion Occasion was brought in to plan the entire event. 

We developed the 80’s theme with the client and sourced appropriate decorative items, including neon clothing, 80’s sweets, rubix cubes and genuine 80’s comics.

In the week before the party, an old barn on the islet was rebuilt and upgraded. On the day itself, a washing line was decorated with some of the 80’s items, so that the guests could use them, and the barn and the islet was decorated with lighting, chairs and tables.  A message board was built, onto which guests could add their own personal birthday messages using neon spray paint and pens.  We organised all the catering, including a BBQ, pig spit roast and buffet food.  The Occasion Occasion team stayed for the party, to make sure everything ran smoothly, and returned the following day to clear away and tidy up the islet.

Music:  The Occasion Occasion band, Emma and the Beats, was booked to play a variety of music, including many 80’s classics.  In addition to the band, we booked in a DJ, who also followed the 80’s theme.
