Wedding - Anna & Gary, September 2010

The Ceremony took place in an idyllic village church, followed by the Reception for 120 guests in a marquee in the grounds of a nearby farm. In keeping with the setting, the Reception had a village fête theme.

Service:  Service:  Occasion Occasion was brought in to coordinate the day itself, as well as researching and sourcing decorative items for the day.

Peter (Senior Coordinator) met with Anna and Gary with about three months to go to draw up a schedule and summary of duties.  This was followed up by telephone and email communication during the couple of months leading up to the wedding.

On the morning of the wedding, Peter worked with Hayley (Associate Coordinator) to decorate the venue.  They set out the furniture in the ceremony room and decorated the space with bay and olive trees, floral arrangements, scented tea lights and real-petal confetti.

Once this was set for the service they arranged the tables and chairs for 100 guests in the space to be used for the evening meal.  It took quite a while to get them all in a straight line!  They also helped the catering team to lay the table – which again took quite some time – before adding their own finishing touches in keeping with the Mediterranean theme – some chilli and basil plants and displays of citrus fruit – lemons, limes and oranges.

As soon as the scene was set, they liaised with the other suppliers, including caterers, musicians and lighting and sound technicians to ensure the day ran to perfection.

Testimonial:  Peter’s assistance with planning our wedding was invaluable and the wedding day itself was a huge success.  The peace of mind that Peter’s presence gave us was priceless.  He is professional, competent and clearly passionate about what he does and this helped to make our day so special and memorable.
